2016 Advent/Christmas Services

Plymouth Park UMC members rejoiced in the Savior’s birth on Christmas Eve with four candlelight and communion services: a time of hope and remembrance that afternoon for those who experienced grief in the past year; the Children’s Celebration of Christmas at 5:00 p.m.; and two traditional services leading up to midnight and Christmas Day. Because Christmas came on Sunday this year, a special worship service was held that afternoon. See more Advent and Christmas photos, a look back at other great moments from 2016, and some news about plans for mission and ministry in the year ahead!

Among highlights in mid-December were the Service of Lessons and Carols and seasonal celebrations for all ages where participants made Christmas crafts. Candlelight and Communion on Christmas Eve included the Children’s and Traditional services, and even an infant baptism for Orlin Michael Alagar Ross. Barrett Miller and Carson Daniel Utz were baptized at a special 5:00 p.m. service on Sunday, Christmas Day, which also included a Blessing of the Toys and musical offering by Grace Heller.

...what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
