College Student Care Packages Can Include Your Leftover Halloween Candy!
College students love to get mail! We have identified 26 college students from Plymouth Park UMC living away from home in dorms or apartments this fall, 5 of them freshmen. Sending care packages to our college students is one of the best ways to let them know that we are thinking of them.
During the month of October, the Youth Group is collecting items for college care packages to remind our students that we love and miss them. You may drop your items off in the marked box in the Ministry Center or in the Youth Hall anytime during the month of October. The care packages will be mailed Monday, November 3, 2014.
Here are some suggestions for items for care packages:
- Easy Mac
- granola/cereal bars
- microwave popcorn
- Ramen noodles
- leftover Halloween candy
- hot chocolate/cider packets
- snacks, cookies, crackers
- dried fruit
- sticky notes
- mechanical pencils/pens
- anti-bacterial lotion
- Tylenol, cold medicine, and cough drops
If you are the parent of an away college student, please make sure Peg Hartung has your student’s updated address.
Thank you so much for your support of our college students!
