Mother/Daughter Tea Party – February 25, 1-3pm
Come and celebrate the connection of mother and daughter (grandmother, aunt, special friend) at our 4th annual tea party. I will be sending out invitations at the beginning of February but feel free to invite others (just let me know they are coming!)
Save the Date:
Big Girl/Little Girl Sleepover
Peg asked me to let you know that the Big Girl/Little Girl sleepover is scheduled for March 2-3rd. I don’t have the details since this is something youth puts on so if you have questions please email Peg at peg@ppumc.org. I am sure she will be in touch as it gets closer but put it on your calendars now so that your little girl can have big fun with the youth.
Dad and Me
Grab your favorite kids and come explore Robotics with American Robotics Academy on Friday, March 23 from 6:30-8pm. Have fun with the Lego Technic gears, axles, beams and bricks, building wacky contraptions. Add a motor, and watch your contraption go. We welcome dads, boys, girls, grandpas, uncles, special friends, and even moms. It is most appropriate for pre-k – 5th grades but everyone is welcome.
Chili Cook off
If you have attended the Chili Cook Off in the past then you know about the fun and fellowship that is a part of it. In the past, the Chili Cook Off has been run by the Music Dept for their benefit but it has become too much for them to handle on their own. Since we don’t want to lose this wonderful event this year adults, children, and music will come together to put it on for the benefit of the community assistance fund. Make plans now to attend or enter your chili on Sunday, March 25. Find more information in the coming weeks in the Ministries Center.
Palm Sunday Lunch and Egg Hunt
Our 3rd Annual Palm Sunday lunch and Easter egg hunt is scheduled for Palm Sunday, April 1 right after the 11am service. Yes, it is the week right after the Chili Cook-Off but just think of it as two Sundays in a row you don’t have to worry about lunch!. And yes, we will absolutely, positively have a peanut butter and jelly station for any children who don’t like ham. More info will come as we get closer but I wanted you to remember to SAVE THE DATE!
Have a blessed week!

Yes, it is indeed time to for another Grief Group.
Not all our youth are cradle Methodists who attend PPUMC with their parents. Many of our students begin attending PPUMC at the invitation of a friend. Many have stayed to make this their church home, often bringing parents and younger siblings with them.
The Memorial Service for James Aleman will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 21 in our Sanctuary. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial be made to United Way or the Chosen Heritage Christian Adoption Services in Duncanville. Addresses are available in the Church Office. Please remember Edna, Sergio and the entire Aleman family in your prayers.
Hi Ladies! We’ve received lots of good interest & feedback from our survey in Nov. about forming NEW Circles for the ladies of PPUMC through United Methodist Women! In fact several more were suggested: Theater related activities with the Music Circle (Irene Jackson has offered to lead this group), a Movie Goers Circle, and a Photography Circle to learn, share, and enjoy activities related to photographing God’s amazing world.
Have you ever wanted to have a say in the calendar planning at PPUMC? This is your chance. Come to
