Class of 2013!
We're going to have a short planning meeting concerned Mission Trip immediately following Student Outreach this Wednesday, April 24, 2013. If you can attend, that would be lovely. If not, we will meet several other times, so you may still be involved in the planning. We will be out before 9:00 PM.
(FYI, parents! Given the choice to meet on Sunday afternoons following the 11:00 AM worship, or Wednesday nights after SO, your students choose Wednesday nights.)
Lunch for Senior High Family Group #3
This Sunday, April 28, 2013, is the day for your lunch date at long last! As a reward for winning the Canned Food Drive, I am taking your group out for lunch. We'll meet in the Youth Hall right after the 11:00 AM service.
Student Outreach
We're in the final week of our series called "Treasure Seekers" in Student Outreach. Built around short parables Jesus taught about two men who found treasures and sold everything they had to acquire these valuable things, this series is designed to help us discover the rich value of having a personal relationship with God.
Our culture encourages young people -- and adults -- to pursue popularity, fame, wealth, and success. But chasing these things instead of pursuing God ultimately will not satisfy our deepest needs. We've been having some fun with the Indiana Jones movies all month as we search for true riches. More than a few of us have also been having fun with the Indiana Jones hat and the bullwhip. No injuries, yet...

This is a big week in the life of our church. This Thursday night is the Maundy Thursday service led by our Senior High Youth. Branson Horsman will be delivering the message. The Good Friday service is led by the Sanctuary choir. Both services begin at 7 pm.
This Sunday is Easter! Come dressed in your Easter finery and celebrate the risen Lord at church. Hope to see you all here!
Student Outreach
This is the final week in our “Girl Talk/Guy Talk” series. God in His uniquely creative way, made men and women beautifully and differently. It will not come as a surprise to anyone that physically we are created differently. But our physical body isn’t the only difference between girls and guys. This truth is important to accept so that we can make decisions based on a mutual understanding that guys and girls are coming from completely different frames of reference. Even our culture has recognized the unique differences and targets specific messages toward their differences.
We’ve been dividing into same gender small groups all this month.
Maundy Thursday participants
We will do a quick run-through of the Maundy Thursday service on Wednesday night immediately following Student Outreach. This will give everyone the opportunity to rehearse their part.
On Thursday evening, you need to be here by 6:30. The attire for the service is dress up – girls in dress pants or skirts, guys in dress pants, shirt and dress shoes (if possible).
Sunday School
This is Easter Sunday! Sunday School starts immediately following the P3 worship service, approximately 10:15 am. Youth and teachers begin gathering at 9:45 for a light breakfast, provided by a different family each week.
The Horseman family is in charge of breakfast this week.

A note from your pastor; This Sunday is Youth Sunday, the time we devote to allowing our youth to lead worship. Some of you might take this as an opportunity to not attend worship. Let me put into context what youth Sunday means.
We have youth from 11 different school districts in our program. They represent seven different private schools, eighteen different high schools, twelve different middle schools, and home schooling. That is an incredible number of students from different institutions that come together in our youth program. Realize that with social media, today’s young adults do not have to have “face to face” time to be connected. That they participate in Wednesday night programming and Sunday morning Sunday school and worship is a statement of their commitment to our church. They are, in a very real sense, the church of tomorrow. And, they are very much worthy of your support.
In addition, know this. I have looked over the sermon, and I can tell you that you will not only enjoy what you hear, you will be amazed and impressed at its depth. I’m looking forward to worship this Sunday. I hope you are, too.
Would you like to go skiing over spring break? We still have 3 openings for our Spring Break Ski Trip March 10-15 to Crested Butte, Colorado. The cost is $500 for youth and college students ages 11-25 and $450 for adults.
The cost includes transportation, 3 day of rental and lift tickets, breakfast and dinner at the condo and a t shirt. You provide your meals on the road, lunch on the mountain plus lessons or optional upgrades.
This is a great trip for any age skier or snowboarder! Please contact Peg at for more information.
We’ve still got a few spots open for Youth Sunday (mostly 8:30 service). If you would like to participate in Youth Sunday (and you know you doJ), please call or email Peg.
This is a really big deal for our Youth Group and the congregation. We ask – and receive – a lot of financial support from the member of the church. This is our opportunity to give back by leading them in worship.
Very important!!!!! Rehearsal for Youth Sunday is Saturday, February 16 from 10-12 am at the church. We will do a complete run through of all 3 services. Please make plans to be there. Our new shirts will be available at that time. The uniform for Youth Sunday will be a Youth Sunday shirts and jeans.
If you can not be at rehearsal because of a work conflict, please tell Peg beforehand.
Ash Wednesday Service
