Be an angel this Advent season by helping others have a better Christmas.
Select a gift request card from Missions Christmas trees in the Mission Center or Sanctuary foyer beginning this Sunday. Gifts are being collected for Irving nursing home residents, Irving children and families in need and for Dallas County children and seniors served by the Salvation Army.
Body and hand lotions, soap, shampoo, conditioner, other hair and nail grooming supplies and toiletry items for men and women are on the wish list for residents at Irving Nursing & Rehabilitation. Games, cards, magazines, books, CD’s, movies, greeting cards and stamps can also be good gifts. Sweats have been purchased for each resident from Mission Garage sale funds.
Salvation Army forgotten angels allow you to select items for infants, children, teens and seniors.
Deadline for returning the unwrapped gifts to church is Dec. 2
Gift requests for Irving school children will be listed on individual Christmas tree ornaments. If your family, group or Sunday school class wants to adopt a family, please contact James Manfull or other members of the Missions committee or call the church office.
Christmas is also a great time to make a special donation to your church or United Methodist Church Advance specials.
PPUMC Missions Committee thanks you for sharing with our neighbors in need.
