Annual Missions Garage Sale
The Missions Garage Sale is a huge event in the life of our church. The proceeds are donated to missions supported by our local church while the sale itself serves as an outreach to our local community.
Discarded treasures now being accepted for the sale.
Drop them off at the church during normal business hours Monday – Thursday, Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, or on Sunday mornings. Call the church office for contact information to arrange pick-up of your items or to schedule alternate drop-off times. Please bring clean, usable, working items only. Built-in appliances cannot be accepted but free-standing ones are welcomed.
Workers needed - no experience required.
Sign up in the Ministries Center on Sunday mornings or call 214-636-7326 to volunteer. Please give a few hours of your time to help make the sales a success. This is the major source of funding for our church’s mission projects each year. We need help with pre-sorting and storing items, set up for the sale, the actual sale (check-out clerks and greeters) and cleanup after the sale.
 Congregational Preview - Wednesday Night
Join us for Reed’s World-Class BBQ from 6:15 to 7:15 , followed by the Sale from 7:00 to 8:30. All profits from the evening go to the Kitchen Renovation Fund, so that PPUMC can be in outreach and mission to visiting groups and the community in times of emergency.
Dinner – Sale Combo $8.00; Dinner Only $6.00; Sale Only $3.00 or 3 cans for Irving Cares. Tickets available on Sunday Mornings in the Ministries Center or at the door.
Public Sale – Thursday, Friday & Saturday
Sale hours are Thursday & Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The last hour of the sale is our legendary Bag Sale – everything you can get in a 30-gallon garbage bag for $5.00. Available items will include furniture, applicance, computer equipment, clothing in all sizes, toys and games, books, household items, and much more. You won't believe the treasures that you will find. |
