You’re invited to find a place of belonging in a Bible Study or a support group! Come discover the gifts that God has given you that bring meaning, purpose and direction to life. Continue your spiritual journey as we grow closer to Christ and one another.

Our classes are a prime opportunity to learn about the Christian faith and to develop relationships in a supportive community. We currently offer 12 adult Sunday school classes, each with its own unique blend of study topics, age ranges and family status. New classes begin periodically to meet the developing needs of our congregation. Whether you are interested in Bible teaching or discussion with others who are single or married, there is a place for you here at PPUMC!

Adult Sunday School

ABC, a.k.a. Adult Bible ClassRoom -- A-115, 10:15 a.m.

We focus on quarterly studies of various books of the Bible.  Class volunteers lead weekly small group discussions. Snacks, juice and take-home study materials, which include daily Bible readings, are provided for guests and members, who are primarily 40-50ish and older.

Celebration Class -- Room A-114, 10:15 a.m.

We are an adult class that primarily focuses on current world events. We currently meet with the Work In Progress class.  We would love to have you join us.

Cornerstone Class -- Room A-107, 9:45 a.m.

We study the bible through class discussions of the scripture, its historical context and the applications to our daily lives. We are a group of singles and married couples with and without children. We share fellowship starting at 9:45 a.m. with scripture study beginning at 10:00 a.m.

CrossRoads Class -- Room A-111, 10:15 a.m.

We are a young adult class for people fresh out of high school into their late 20’s. Whether you’re single, engaged, newly married, or whatever the case may be; join us! We delve into Wired Word discussing modern events as they correlate with our lives as Christians. At other times we dive deeper into the scripture heard (or to be heard) in morning worship. We invite you to join us.

Exploring the Scriptures Class -- Room A-102, 9:45 a.m.

Exploring the Scriptures Class studies the bible using multiple translations in a teacher-led discussion forum. The teacher or members of the class read the scripture and consider, discuss and even debate its meaning for the time it was written and for our lives today. It is good to attend with your own study bible but if you do not bring a Bible we have several extras that can be borrowed in the classroom. Class ages range from early 40s to early 80s but everyone is young at heart and welcoming.

Friendly Class -- Room A-104, 9:45 a.m.

If you are looking for a Sunday school class and want interesting Bible study in a fun and loving atmosphere, you need to visit the Friendly Class. We always have room for you!

Koinonia Class -- A-113, 9:45 a.m.

Our class is composed of both couples and singles in the prime of their lives (that means fifty-ish!). Most of us (but not all) have children who have graduated from college, married and, in some cases, have children of their own. The class is discussion-oriented, and we have a variety of teachers who lead the class on diverse topics—from Bible study to social issues. We invite visitors to join us for coffee and discussion.

Namaste Class -- Room A-108, 9:35 a.m.

As always visitors are welcome! To us, Namaste means “We accept you as you are.” Meet for coffee and visitation at 9:30 a.m. We have a short business meeting at 9:45 a.m. This group of seniors continues to support one another through life transitions. Please, come join us for interesting programs, discussions and fellowship.

New Beginnings Class -- Room A-109, 10:15 a.m.

A fun group of late baby boomers, single and married, with young children to college aged. We study contemporary religious issues, traditional Bible lessons, and everything in between. Come join us.

Work in Progress (WIP): A Contemporary Learning Experience -- A-114, 10:15 a.m.

If you’re attracted to non-traditional worship, you may find that a non-traditional Sunday school class is the right fit for you. Drop in any time for our stand alone classes in a contemporary series. Check out out our upcoming topics. Join us immediately following the P3 worship service. We are currently meeting with the Celebration class.
