Great Days of Service is a nine year community faith-based ministry of local churches and others with housing rehabilitation. Plymouth Park Volunteers helped make this years Great Days of Service a success. The Mission Committee thanks the members for their prayers, donations and the volunteers.

Great Days of Service can still use prayers, volunteers and donations
The Missions Committee and Great Days of Service appreciated your
donations for home repairs. Your Missions Committee and Bill La Barr
urge you to be involved in the GDS. The dates of service are March 18-19
and March 25-26. Call Andy Schellenberg, 972-313-0058 to volunteer and
for details.
GDS needs volunteers to make repairs on 26 homes and clean up yards.
Also volunteers are needed to prepare and deliver lunches to the
workers. GDS needs volunteers to help with administration at the
headquarters on work days. GDS need your prayers too.
GDS invites volunteers and homeowners to the prayer breakfast on
Saturday, March 18 from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Also to the celebration on
Sunday, March 27 at 2:00 pm. Both events are at the host church and
headquarters, First UMC, 211 W 3rd St, Irving 972-253-3531. GDS hotline

gdsirving@yahoo.com. Together we help our neighbors and improve our
community.

conditions: disabled, low income, or elderly.

Great Days of Service (GDS) 2010 is pleased to report 25
homes of our neighbors were improved. Donations to GDS were
$9,142. There were 577 volunteers that were a blessing to
the homeowners. The Prayer Breakfast was attended by 185 workers.
The Celebration was attended by 120 volunteers and homeowners.
Their were 10 churches, 4 groups and 4 companies that participated.
The GDS appreciated the donations and volunteers and God for
making this 9th year a another success.
PPUMC members generous donations was $1,346. PPUMC had 24
volunteers that help complete 3 homes. Special thanks to the
following: Barbara Hamilton, Pat Ross, United Methodist Women
group for the 100 foam plates, plastic cutlery and napkins
for the Celebration event; Peg Hartung, Senior High Youth;
Andy Schellenberg, Frank Spitzig, Mac
Strubhar and Linda Warren.
