June Communion Offering benefits the Joplin tornado victims.

We have all heard reports and seen photos of the devastation suffered by Joplin, Missouri, and the surrounding area as a result of the May 22 afternoon tornado. We in North Texas are acquainted all too well with the physical and emotional trauma of such a natural disaster. As we offer our fervent prayers for those affected by this storm, we also ask, "But what else can we do?" The episcopal leader of the Missouri Annual Conference, Bishop Robert Schnase, issued a special bulletin. It provides information related to future needs for on-site assistance, and it includes an immediate appeal for financial support. This Sunday's communion offering may be made to PPUMC and funds will be forwarded directly to the Missouri Annual Conference. Please mark checks for Missouri Tornado, Fund #946.

Thank you for your prayerful concern and generous response for our South Central Jurisdiction sisters and brothers in Joplin, Missouri.
